Their music was popular across West Africa and they performed in several countries, including Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Cameroon. The group disbanded in the 1980s, but their music continues to be celebrated and loved by fans of Nigerian music.
Today, the surviving members of the Merry Men Singers continue to perform and make music individually.
